The Education Centre 'La Direzione' is highly equipped to
provide visitors with a teaching experience inside the Pigelleto
Nature Reserve. Classes of 10 or 30 students are held in
modern labs to study botany, geology and zoology. The Reserve's
headquaters have a assembly hall which can contain up to
60 people and a library to provide information and guides
on the Reserve's wildlife. Infrastructures include PCs with
Internet access, microscopes, stereoscopes, blackboards,
overhead projectores and digital cameras. Visitors can go
tracking, do bird-watching, collect material, study officinal
herbs and visit local farms to watch how milk, honey and
olive oil are produced.
